Your Chance to Make an Impact
When the founding members of the kibbutz first settled in Akko in 2005 at the invitation of the municipality, they moved into a building that belonged to the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel’s Soldiers which had lain uninhabited for years. The kibbutz has been there ever since. By now, the condition of the building has deteriorated significantly, and the city is exploring other plans for the complex while assisting us in the search for a new home.
We have located a building in the heart of the city that used to house a nursing home. It is currently uninhabited and requires minimal renovations to become our new home!
With your support, the Akko Educators’ Kibbutz will be able to:
• Provide a home for educators and their activities
• Open new spaces to house educational and cultural activities engaging the wider public
• Further the development of Akko and its residents
• Create a groundbreaking, first-of-its-kind Educators’ Kibbutz structure to revolutionize the city space and urban planning for communities in Israel
The project is a partnership of the Akko Municipality and Mayor and Dror Israel. Renovating this building will enable the Educators’ Kibbutz to absorb more educators, more students and more projects.
We are seeking additional partners who believe in the power of education and in the power of people to make change to join us in this endeavor. The renovations in the new building also provide unique naming opportunities for potential partners to enshrine their legacy in the effort to transform the city and people of Akko.
Donate now to make this dream a reality.
